Jennifer Lawrence nominated for Razzie Award as year's Worst Actress

For the not-super-coveted award, Lawrence is up against Katherine Heigl for Unforgettable (fitting title as we have no idea what this movie is), Dakota Johnson for Fifty Shades Darker, Tyler Perry for Boo!

While it's definitely not the biggest honor to be nominated for one of these awards, many celebs have embraced the show over the years.

This year's awards won't likely be as controversial, however, as the vast majority of nominees are painfully obvious, easy targets.

Leading the pack is Transformers: The Last Knight with nine nominations, including Worst Picture, Worst Director (Michael Bay), Worst Actor (Mark Wahlberg) and Worst Supporting Actor (Josh Duhamel and Anthony Hopkins). It's only the second time that an animated film has been nominated in the category; The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure in 2013 was the other film.

The nominations for the 2018 Razzie Awards were announced Sunday in a video placed on the Razzie's YouTube channel. Both Jennifer Lawrence (mother!) and Emma Watson (The Circle) were unexpectedly nominated despite delivering performances that most would deem unoffensive.

The full list of nominees, announced today, also includes Jennifer Lawrence, Russell Crowe and Javier Bardem. The Razzies did double down on their decidedly meh joke from past year - nominating Tyler Perry for playing Madea again - so perhaps they were simply out of ideas for this category?

This year's ceremony will take place on Saturday 3 March, a day before the Oscars, where winners will receive the "tackiest Tinsel Town trophies".
