Saturday, Dec. 2: 65th Annual "Ye Olde Hometown Christmas Parade" Park Avenue will remain closed to through traffic from the prior evening's events and will reopen at the conclusion of the Annual Christmas Parade. This parade will end at the Vinton War Memorial after taking a route downtown.
The parade is sponsored by The City of Fredericksburg Virginia Parks and Recreation Department and Huber Motor Cars, and media sponsor B101.5.

Waxhaw's Holiday Festival of Lights Ceremony is Saturday from 4-8 p.m., when roughly 500,000 lights will fill up Downtown. Then enjoy the parade, starting on Meadow Avenue at 2 p.m. The public is invited to attend and encouraged to bring cameras for photos with Santa.
Main Street Director Tim Moore said the parade is one of the biggest in the surrounding areas each year.
The Tyler Rotary Club's Christmas parade kicks off at 6 p.m. followed by the 34th annual Christmas tree lighting celebration.
