Brisk winds in the 10 to 20 miles per hour range caused wind chills to drop to bitterly cold levels between -20 and -30, with areas of central Wisconsin seeing dangerously cold wind chills near -35.
The forecast calls for temperatures to drop to around 12 degrees by five Saturday afternoon.
