The 25-year-old musician has recently rekindled her romance with the "Love Yourself" hitmaker after having previously been in a tumultuous on/off relationship with him from 2010 to 2015, and although the new relationship has garnered a lot of interest, Selena doesn't think anyone is actually interested in her love life.

As this was a Women in Music event, Gomez's speech was heavily focused on females meaning she gracefully side-stepped any mentioned of Justin Bieber or The Weeknd.

Selena surprised many with the news of her transplant on September 14 by sharing a photograph of her and Francia in their hospital gowns holding hands to her 128 million Instagram followers. I'm very, very lucky.

'That was the day I came home and she volunteered, she did it'.

According to Selena, she faced some "really hard times" during her surgery and recovery period. Selena's fans were quick to praise her emotional speech, with one writing: "Selena crying during her speech and saying Francia deserved it because she saved her life?"

"Accept the fact that there is room for everyone", she said.

She continued, adding that, "Specifically this year, I would like to thank my unbelievable team and my family because they stuck with me through some really hard times". "She saved my life..." It feels good to be able to share my story the way I want to.

After thanking Fanning and Raisa, Gomez added "I don't know how I'll ever repay it but maybe I'll make an epic album next year".

The honoree said, "How courageous it is that voices are being heard for the first time it's so great and for all the older women that lifted all of us up because I couldn't be here without any of you". "So thank you for all of you who have inspired so many girls who don't feel like they have a voice".
