In light of cyclone Ockhi hitting the city, the Mumbai Disaster management unit of the BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) has issued a warning against visiting beaches since there is a high tide alert.

He tweeted to inform that he has spoken to all relevant authorities and officials and that all possible assistance is being provided to those affected.

A total of 556 fishermen were also rescued by relief and rescue teams from seas. Over 167 people are still missing after the cyclone hit both the states on November 30.
