While critics have given the film glowing reviews (ourselves included), fans are split, some loving the movie for its big changes and character development, and others hating it enough to review-bomb Rotten Tomatoes and start online petitions to have the film removed from the Star Wars canon (seriously). Stay tuned for much more from Hot Toys coming soon.

Comic book artist Bill Sienkiewicz‏ tweeted a drawing of Fisher as Leia, writing, "Speaking of talented lovely badasses".

Although Fisher is still deeply missed, her friends and family continue to honor her legacy.

Carrie Fisher will always be with her Star Wars costar Mark Hamill.

Hamill touched on Fisher's passing and her final performance during an interview with PeopleTV. "But I'm also grateful for all that she was able to give us while she was here". "Carrie and I were attracted to one another, but I knew from previous jobs that it would have been a bad idea [to get involved with someone on set]", Hamill said in a profile published on Thursday, December 14. "It has not been easy", Hamil stated. The 25-year-old actress wrote, "She drowned in moonlight, strangled by her own bra" using moon, boot, astrological sign, and plant emojis. Fisher also starred in the films: When Harry Met Sally, Blues Brothers, Scream 3, and Sorority Row.

Filming on Skellig Michael for Star Wars: The Last Jedi took place over two days in 2015, before moving to the mainland.
