The smartphone, which delivers full-screen viewing experience, will retail at AED 999.

That means you'll get the Mate 10 Pro's edge-to-edge 5.99-inch display, with a 18:9 aspect ratio and FullHD resolution. It features a dual-lens 16MP and 2MP rear camera, and an autofocus rate of 0.18 seconds. The 2.4GHz octa-core Kirin 970 processor, powers this phone and has the backing of Mali G72 MP12 GPU and 6GB RAM.

Honor 7X will be exclusively available on Amazon India from December 7.

There's also a gesture trigger option so you can take selfies simply by waving your hand in front of the camera.

Our take: Huawei is positioning the Honor View 10 as the "first affordable AI-enabled smartphone", and while the benefits of AI in the near-term remain to be seen, what's certain is the fact that the Honor View 10 stands on its own merits - mostly.

The Shenzen-based OEM revealed that the phablet-sized Honor View 10 will come to selected countries, including the US, UK, India, and across Europe, from January 8th.

The Honor V10 was launched in China a week ago, and now, Honor's back with the launch of the Honor View 10, the global variant of the V10. Out of the box, Honor 7X runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 on the top.

However, if you are looking for a camera-centric smartphone with a taller display and a premium metal build, then Honor 7x is at your service.

Honor also announced its Structured Light and Sync Play technologies which enhance facial recognition and music playback respectively. It will be available in 128GB storage, 6 GB RAM variant and a 64 GB storage 4/6 GB RAM variant. It holds horizontally stacked dual cameras instead of the vertical ones and the rear mounted fingerprint sensor.

Interestingly, the Honor 9i has the same camera combination to what the Honor 7x has, and it is the front-facing camera where these two phones differ. There is also a focus on gaming on the View 10, which makes sense given that the Honor brand is targeted towards younger people.

However, the features that might not impress us on the Honor 7x are the old school micro USB port for charging and data syncing, the third party EMUI operating system, which might not receive faster software updates.

"Additionally, Honor is immensely proud of the quality control it undertakes in producing every phone". Storage is also expandable up to 256GB.

One nice touch is the arrival of "Supercharge", which will charge the battery to 50 per cent in 30 minutes.
