Congress Legislator slaps woman constable, get slapped back

"She (woman constable) abused me and pushed me, she should have shown restrain, I am her mother's age, but yes I agree I should not have lost my temper".

Miffed Congress MLA didn't stop here and again tried to hit the lady constable but by then other people around interfered and stopped the slap-fest getting uglier. This is no way.

Party leaders and workers started jostling to enter the office soon after Gandhi went inside the building amid a tight security at the Congress office.

A high "slap" drama took place on Friday morning in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla after a Congress MLA was denied entry into the party's office where Congress President Rahul Gandhi was holding a review meeting.

However, the Congress MLA has apologized saying that she shouldn't have lost her temper.

However, the constable has filed a complaint against the MLA. On this, Asha Kumari said that she was abused by the constable and she was compelled to use her hands.

During the scuffle, the constable allegedly responded in the similar manner by slapping back the former minister.

An All India Congress Committee's (AICC) secretary, Kumari is a member of Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Dalhousie. The party managed to bag just 21 seats out of 68, while the BJP won 44 seats.

During a day-long visit to Shimla, the Congress President will review the party's performance in the recently-held Himachal Pradesh assembly election.
