As promised, Taiwanese manufacturer Asus has begun rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update for its Zenfone 4 ZE554KL smartphone. According to some users, the update has already started rolling out in India via the OTA route. That said, apart from these features, the Oreo update for ZenFone 4 also comes along with "more friendly" setting UI, redesigned emoji set, and, a swipe-up gesture to open the app drawer.
Android security: Includes the updates of Android security patches until December 1st, 2017.
While the update brings a new Android Oreo OS version one can't expect new features or changes with this update as these updates are usually meant for fixing bugs and issues. Of course, with the jump to Oreo, new features like Auto-fill, Notification Dots, and Picture-in-Picture, amongst others, will also make their way to the smartphone. The dual-SIM (Nano) Moto X4 was launched with on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 630 SoC clocked at up to 2.2GHz, coupled with up to 4GB of RAM. And Smart Text Selection improves copy and paste. The Moto X4 gets a 16-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and supports 1080p video recording.
The instructions from Motorola say that for a successful installation, the battery in your phone should be at least 50% charged and your device should be connected to a Wi-Fi network or LTE. The device is backed by a 3000mAh battery which also supports 15W TurboPower.
