Twitter suspends Trump ally Roger Stone after rant

Mr. Stone has since promised to speak out on other Twitter accounts, including those associated with his blog and the biographical movie "Get Me Roger Stone". According to Politico, Stone had gone after a number of CNN's staff in a series of tweets, seemingly in response to a report that an indictment from Robert Mueller's Russian Federation investigation was imminent.

Stone responded to his suspension from Twitter by threatening to file a lawsuit against the social media site for infringing on his First Amendment rights, Politico reported.

In another tweet, Stone told Lemon to "stop lying about the Clinton's and Uranium you ignorant lying covkscucker".

Roger Stone has been banned from Twitter permanently after a vulgar meltdown Friday aimed at CNN reporters, which included threats, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Twitter has declined to comment on the matter, citing its policy of not talking about actions over individual accounts.

"This is a odd way to do business and part and parcel of the systematic effort by the tech left to censor and silence conservative voices", Stone wrote in an email.

Stone said that he made a decision to bring a lawsuit against Twitter after communicating with "prominent telecommunication attorneys". Twitter said that its rules are enforced "the same way for everybody".

One factor in this case may have been that Stone repeatedly targeted Lemon using his Twitter handle, so that the harassment would show up in Lemon's notifications.

Stone has no government job and doesn't work for the President in any official capacity.

Stone has been a D.C. political operative since the Nixon administration, and was an adviser to the Trump campaign past year. Stone helped Trump's campaign throughout 2016. "Do NOT get in my face when I call a cunt a cunt [sic]", Stone tweeted. His account on Twitter was swiftly suspended. Stone via his blog, StoneColdTruth, were not answered immediately on Sunday.
