Melania Trump played the sartorial diplomacy game at a state dinner in Beijing on Thursday. According to officials who accompanied Melania on her visit and then spoke about it to local press, the first lady spent approximately 30 minutes walking along the Great Wall and said she found her time there "beautiful".

The pair have already visited Japan and South Korea, and arrived in China on Wednesday to meet with President Xi and Madame Peng Liyuan.

She paired the dress, the same design Margot Robbie wore at the Legend of Tarzan premiere in June 2016, with a pair of bubble=gum-pink Manolo Blahnik heels.

No visit to China would be complete without seeing the Great Wall, which is exactly how first lady Melania Trump wrapped her first-ever trip to Asia. The first lady had stayed in China as President Trump flew to Da Nang, Vietnam to participate in the APEC summit, a regional economic and security conference. Later, Mrs Trump walked along a section of the Great Wall, a Unesco World Heritage Site where Chinese officials often take visiting heads of state and their spouses. FLOTUS opted for a black Dolce & Gabbana gown with light pink floral lace appliqué. "It's exciting, as well", she added.
