Nokia 5 with 3GB RAM variant launched in India


Following this, HMD global has launched a new variant to this device rocking 3GB RAM, an upgrade from the standard 2GB variant. You may recall that Nokia 5 was launched in India in the month of July with 2GB RAM at Rs. 12,899. Of course, there are some other launch-time discounts as well, including no cost EMIs and additional discounts on certain credit cards. Apart from the RAM upgrade, the other specifications of the latest variant remain the same. The Nokia 5 3GB RAM variant comes in Matte Black and Tempered Blue colors and is priced at Rs. 13,499 (MOP) and will be available exclusively from Flipkart starting today midnight. The smartphone runs a stock iteration of Android Nougat and is slated to get the Oreo update soon.

Nokia 5 features a 5.2-inch IPS display with HD resolution (1280x720) and 2.5D glass with 500 nits brightness. Nokia 5 also comes with Jio offer. The device sports a 13MP primary camera on the rear-facing department, whereas the front facing selfie snapper boasts an 8 Megapixel sensor. As far as connectivity goes, the phone offers support for 2G, 3G, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, Micro-USB with OTG, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Nokia 5 is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4 GHz coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. It also has 8 megapixels front camera with f/2.0 aperture. "Now we have added more memory so fans can get enhanced performance in the same precision-engineered design", Ajey Mehta, Vice President India, HMD Global, said in a statement.

The phone has 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and Global Positioning System. Despite measuring at just 8mm in thickness, the phone manages to pack in a 3000mAh battery pack that can last through a day's use.
