Kobolds and Catacombs Expansion Releases for Hearthstone on December 7

Blizzard has confirmed that the latest Hearthstone expansion, Kobolds and Catacombs, will be released on December 8th.

That new card type is the Spellstone. Plenty of Rogue cards are low cost and can enable Elven Minstrel's combination ability. The expansion also adds a handful of new abilities including Recruit, which pulls a minion from your deck, and the game's first legendary weapons.

Tompson explained that releasing Adventures were holding back what some of the game had to offer in terms of new cards being added to the meta, and for those that never completed the Adventures fully, this prevented them from getting those cards. These cards allow the player to upgrade the effect. There are a total of 48 possible encounters in Dungeon Runs and three special events in the mode.

You will receive your For the Hoard! card back and your packs as soon as your purchase is processed, and you can break the seal on your card packs once Kobolds & Catacombs arrives.

Players can take part in three sequential Dungeon Runs that each reward a "Kobolds and Catacombs" card pack. For those looking to purchase the expansion pack before December 8, they can pre purchase it within a 50 pack bundle for $49.99 on Battle.net or Blizzard's game shop.

For those that aren't bothered with spoilers we recommend you check out the cards that have been revealed thus far over on Reddit.
