Jude Law to star as Mar-Vell in Captain Marvel

At this time we would like to cordially invite you to hit the comments section below, where you are encouraged to discuss your favorite Jude Law performances.

The movie will introduce MCU followers to Larson's Carol Danvers, an Air Force pilot whose DNA is fused with an alien's DNA after an accident giving her the powers of flight, strength and energy projection.

Mississipi Grind directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck are set to helm the project from a script written by Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Nicole Perlman, and Meg LeFauve. Carol Danvers doesn't exactly have a great track record with her relationships, with a good number of them ending up dead.

Variety now reports that Law is "in negotiations" to play the male lead/mentor role of Doctor Walter Lawson. In the comics, Mar-Vell is a Kree who is sent to spy on Earth to decide if it's a threat to the Kree empire.

He's played lotharios, vicious villains and movie heroes, but he's never appeared in a Marvel movie, until now. It's also thought Samuel L. Jackson may show up as a younger Nick Fury. One thing we know for sure: the film is going to be a bit of a prequel for the MCU, set almost 20 years before the events of the original 2008 Iron Man.

Captain Marvel is expected to film next year and opens in theaters on March 8, 2019.
