Donald Trump the golf with Tiger Woods and Dustin Johnson

Messages left by USA TODAY Sports on Friday morning to Woods' representation were not immediately returned, but on Instagram user posted video of Trump greeting Woods and Johnson at the course.

Trump is spending Thanksgiving weekend at Mar-a-Lago and the group will be golfing at Trump National Golf Course in Jupiter, Fla.

He said he would do it after speaking to the Turkish president about bringing peace to the Middle East.

"I will get it all done, but what a mistake, in lives and dollars (6 trillion), to be there in the first place!" he added.

Dustin Johnson, one of the longest players on the PGA Tour, was apparently out-driven by Tiger Woods on half the holes during their weekend round with Brad Faxon and Donald Trump.

Woods and Johnson have this week off in terms of professional golf events, but both will be heading to the Bahamas on Monday to compete in Woods' Hero World Challenge tournament at the Albany Golf Club.

Donald Trump broke with White House custom on Friday by admitting he was playing golf.

Trump was careful in his tweet to underscore he planned a quick round.

Aides were mum on how he spent the time period, which is roughly the length of a round of golf, unless you play quickly.

In his run for the White House, Trump often railed about U.S. military commitments in Afghanistan and Iraq. But he looks fit, healthy and I think from there he can play golf, right?

"I was impressed with how far he hit the ball", Faxon said.

The gravity of the situation really hit me on Thanksgiving night - I was going to be playing a round with the acting President of the United States, the current World No. 1 and Tiger Woods.
