Pakistan violates ceasefire in Poonch, 1dead, 3 injured


Five children were among the injured, the youngest being five-year-old Zobia Kousar who was airlifted to a hospital in Jammu in a helicopter.

Among those killed were a 10-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl.

An Army vehicle was also damaged in the aggression by Pakistani troops.

The Indian Army is retaliating to it strongly.

Pakistan violated ceasefire in Keri and Digwar areas of Poonch district.

Three of the injured are said to be in a critical condition, according to reports.

Police officials said Pakistani troops targeted dozens of villages and posts with automatic gunfire and mortar shells in the Shahpur, Kirni and Qasba sectors in Poonch, starting early Monday morning. On September 24, two soldiers were injured in exchange of fire in Poonch district's Balakote sector. However, the question is why Pakistan should not expose Indian brutal acts when Indian forces have killed about 70000 Kashmiris since 1989? BSF troops also foiled an infiltration attempt.

On September 4, an infiltrator was killed as forced infiltration bid from across the border was foiled by BSF troops on worldwide border in Arnia Sector.

Pakistan said over the weekend that two civilians had been killed in firing across the LoC.

There have been continued incidents of ceasefire violation by Pakistan on both the LoC and the global border during the past over two months.
