Las Vegas Shooter's Brother Bruce Paddock Arrested For Child Pornography

Bruce Paddock, 58, the brother of Las Vegas mass shooter Stephen Paddock was taken into custody on Wednesday morning by the LAPD, on suspicion of crimes related to child pornography, according to authorities.

According to TMZ, police were tipped off that there was child porn on Bruce Paddock's computer and obtained a search warrant.

Our sources say the investigation began before his brother, Stephen, shot up the Vegas music festival earlier this month. An official told the Associated Press that the child porn case predates the Las Vegas shooting.

It wasn't immediately known if he has an attorney.

He is now being hold in lieu of $60,000 bail. A criminal complaint filed by prosecutors in Los Angeles County lists 19 counts of sexual exploitation of a child and one count of possession of child pornography.

Police say that they found child pornography on his computer.

The hard drive may have contained potential key evidence to Paddock's motive, the report said. The evidence was discovered after his eviction.

Investigators digging into Paddock's background also learned he purchased software created to erase files from a hard drive, but without the hard drive to examine it is impossible to know if he ever used the software, one source said. He recently was located at an address in North Hollywood.
