Katy Perry gets stuck mid-air on planet prop during concert

"This is the first time I've been stuck in space", she told the crowd. Should I tell some jokes, should I tell some stories?

In fan-shot videos, the 13-time Grammy nominee awkwardly joked: "This is the first time I've been stuck in space". You'd better put your phones up, it's a YouTube moment!'

While the 32-year-old handled the situation pretty well, you could tell she was definitely freaked out about being stuck! They're low-key talking to me in my ear right now, it's a whole big thing.

"I guess I'm just going to have to get down and walk amongst my people", she said while eventually being lowered to the stage. "I'm going to be stuck here forever", she said. At one moment, the prop got stuck and it wouldn;t bring her down anymore. She's in the middle of a tour now, and part of her set includes a Saturn-shaped part of the stage that's suspended in the air, with Perry on it, surrounded by other planets.

Later that night, she tweeted, "SMASHVILLE aka Nashville u were an INCREDIBLE time tonight! Should I just sing another song?"

Katy Perry performs some of her greatest hits and new music onstage at Madison Square Garden on October 2, 2017 in New York City.

The buzzcut blonde - who confirmed she was single to ET on Sunday - scored a $25M paycheck to judge the American Idol reboot premiering in March on ABC - according to TMZ. Once it had gotten as close to the crowd as it could without bumping into audience members, Perry dove off the planet and crowd-surfed to safety.
