Dodgers look to take 2-0 lead in National League Division Series

Having used both Zack Greinke and Robbie Ray in the NL wild-card game, Arizona was down to this: a starter they knew would not match Kershaw's performance. He is 2-0 versus the Dodgers with a 3.24 ERA over 16 2/3 innings in three starts this year, allowing six earned runs on 15 hits with 17 strikeouts and five walks. After having split the wild-card games, I'm 3-1 (+2.00 units) as the National League Divisional Series play begins.

Justin Turner's 3-run home run in the first inning paced the Dodgers' offense that night, as they hid Kershaw's lackluster performance behind a 9-run outburst.

Walker went 9-9 with a 3.49 ERA in 28 starts during his first season with Arizona.

All four homers Kershaw gave up were solo shots: A.J.

"I see my teammates so excited on the bench", Puig said, laughing. That rally included a three-run jolt to left from Turner, sending jam-packed Dodger Stadium into a frenzy.

Saturday's Game 2 will feature two dueling lefties.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said after Friday's win that neither injury has been an issue recently, despite the increase in long balls Kershaw has allowed. There was awesome baserunning by Cody Bellinger, Taylor, Turner, and then that insane tongue-wagging triple in the bottom of 7 by Yasiel Puig. The rest of what got them that win started in the first inning.

Roberts removed Kershaw after he allowed homers to Ketel Marte and Jeff Mathis on back-to-back pitches with one out in the seventh.

"No regrets, whatsoever", Lovullo said. While we expect Arizona to make this a series and have even predicted the Diamondbacks to win it, game one goes to Los Angeles in our view. The Dodgers ten iced this one with a two-spot in the eighth inning. "They hit a couple mistakes and unfortunately he never got grounded". Breaking their playoff drought has created lots of good moments for the team and their fans, this year holding the best record in baseball hope to add to those moments as they face the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Dodgers got production from the top of their lineup, as Chris Taylor reached base twice (single, walk) and scored twice, and Corey Seager reached base three times (walk, single and triple), scored three times and drove in two.

The previous Dodgers to drive in five runs in a postseason game were Davey Lopes in the 1978 World Series and Pedro Guerrero in the 1981 World Series.
