An eating disorder isn't something you can overcome easily, so all that matters is that she continues to get the help and support she needs. "I had started working at that time and was under a lot of stress, so I would bake cookies for my family". After Wilmer leaves, Demi gets candid with the camera, saying, "I think my heart is always with Wilmer".

Despite going for a very long stretch of time not binging and purging, Demi revealed that breaking up with Wilmer Valderama previous year is what triggered her recent relapse. And I think they told on me for using Adderall.

The singer openly speaks about her battle with an eating disorder and relapsing in 2016. When I first met Wilmer he was 29. "I'm very happy and proud of her".

"Food is still the biggest challenge in my life and it controls - I don't want to give it the power to say it controls my every thought, but it's something that I'm constantly thinking about".

"What started the relapse [this time] was missing Wilmer", she shared.

Fans also noticed on Wednesday, October 18, that the "Bad Liar" songstress and the "Tell Me You Love Me" crooner began following one another on Instagram again. "What motivates me on those days is knowing how I'm going to feel after I'm done". "I've never loved anybody like I loved Wilmer and I still love him", Demi says. "[But] the struggle is still very much there. What's most important to me is that I just keep fighting, and I keep aiming for a goal of complete freedom".

"The sparks never faded but there are issues that I haven't conquered yet that I know I won't conquer if I'm relying on somebody else to take care of the loneliness".

"When I was in a relationship with Wilmer I went three years without purging and when we broke up that's one of the first things I did", she revealed in a conversation with her manager, Phil McIntyre.
