Ben Affleck apologizes for groping Hilarie Burton on MTV's TRL

A representative for Affleck has not commented on Tendler's claims.

Burton sent out the video clip after a person on social media recalled the incident on MTV, writing, "He also grabbed Hilarie Burton's breasts on TRL once".

When the news broke that film producer Harvey Weinstein had apparently sexually harassed numerous actresses and other women he had worked with, Ben Affleck, who had starred in one of his films, said he was upset.

In the clip, he pulls Losique into his lap, suggests she take her top off, and compliments her on her "firm breasts". "In church, you should have that rack on display", he says.

On Wednesday, Losique defended Affleck's conduct, telling The Hollywood Reporter that the actor "never touched me in any improper way".

"Jen is very annoyed because it just means more attention on her and the kids as a result of Ben's actions".

"It was for a show I was producing, so I was not at all a victim".

The mother-of-three also isn't thrilled that her baby daddy is embroiled in so much scandal stemming from Harvey Weinstein's sexual misconduct.

Burton promptly replied to the tweet, "I didn't forget".

Affleck jumped to Twitter after the video began going viral and apologized to Burton.

"I acted inappropriately toward Ms. Burton and I sincerely apologize", Affleck tweeted on Wednesday. He concludes, "We must support those who come forward, condemn this type of behavior when we see it and help ensure there are more women in positions of power", and that "support those who come forward" part is proving kinda sticky for the actor, now that women are coming forward with stories of Affleck's unwanted advances. "The press conf I was made to go to after assault". "This is completely unacceptable, and I find myself asking what I can do to make sure this doesn't happen to others".

After the release of his public statement, actress and former co-star Rose McGowan lashed out on Twitter and accused Affleck of being fully aware of Weinstein's mistreatment of women over the years, specifically of McGowan.
