Xiaomi's Mi Notebook Pro takes on Apple's Macbook

Compared with Apple MacBook Pro, Mi Notebook Pro features 19% larger keyboard area for increased comfort and ergonomics. The Mi Notebook Air, that launched in 2016 was a cheaper competitor to the MacBook Air and its 2017 iteration has targeted the more expensive Apple laptop. Other features of the Mi Notebook Pro include a full-size keyboard and fingerprint unlock. It also supports Windows Hello, furthermore, the fingerprint scanner is under-the-trackpad. For now the Mi Notebook Pro, announced at an event in Beijing, is specific to China. However, let us first take a look at the specifications and features of the Xiaomi Notebook Pro. With aluminium alloy and magnesium alloy composition, the Mi Notebook Pro is both sturdy and light. The laptop measures 360.7 x 243.6 x 15.9 mm and weighs 1.95kg. Any 15-inch "pro" laptop deserves a higher-res screen (even if it's something less than 4K), and you're going to notice the lack of pixels on a 1080p display that big. On the connectivity front, the device support two USB Type-C ports, HDMI port, two USB Type-A ports, 3-in-1 SD card slot, WiFi 802.11 ac, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Judging by the Mi Notebook Pro's specifications, many experts already agree this is Xiaomi's another shot at Apple. It has 16GB RAM on-board with 1TB of SSD Storage.
