When is the Mi Note 3 release date?

Xiaomi Mi Note 3 to be launched on September 11 with Mi Mix 2.

The co-founder of Xiaomi, Lin Bin, on Friday, posted a teaser image of the Mi Note 3.

As the caption accompanies the Mi Note 3 teaser image, it is safe to assume that the larger Mi 6 he refers to, is the Mi Note 3 and that we can see the Mi Note 3 launch on September 11. The 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display may also be curved on both sides, an implementation that made its debut on the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. Xiaomi is set to announced Mi Note 3 in the same event. The customers are eagerly waiting for the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 smartphone launch.

In common with all Xiaomi phones, unless a Global version is announced the Mi Note 3 will not support the 800MHz LTE frequency (Band 20), which in the United Kingdom is the only LTE band used by O2, GiffGaff and Sky Mobile. Even though we don't its actual release date, Xiaomi is expected to launch it during the Christmas Holidays. If speculations are anything to go by then the company might unveil the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 at the event since its predecessor was released past year along with the Mi Mix.

There are also reports claiming that Xiaomi Mi6 will be released in three variants. Xiaomi, however, is expected to tweak around with one or two specifications of the Mi Note 3. The device, as confirmed by the co-founder himself will be a bigger version of the Mi 6 which comes with a 5.15-inch display. Camera duties are 16MP rear with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, 4K video recording while the front has a 5MP unit. The phone will run on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS with the latest version of MIUI 9 on top. The phone will also come with a quick charge 4.0 fast charging technology.

Pricing details of the Mi Note 3 leaked a few days ago. The smartphone will likely be powered by a Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC and the phone is also expected to pack in at least 6GB of RAM. Notably, the new variant of the smartphone has been launched in just one configuration, i.e. 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage priced at Rs. 12,999.
