New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles

When the Philadelphia Eagles host the New York Giants in an NFC East matchup at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday (FOX 29, 1 p.m.), Sproles should be a big part of team's offense again. A hostile crowd at the Linc awaits them. That defensive line needs to make sure they get after Manning because their secondary will have trouble covering Beckham Jr. and company.

Giants quarterback Eli Manning is 4-12 with 32 touchdown passes and 19 interceptions in his last 16 starts against the Eagles. His playcalling has been questioned and he's considering relinquishing those duties.

"Man, come on. I had a rough night and I hate the f-kin' Eagles, man!" "I think it's the execution".

So, this is not necessarily the best place for the Giants to figure out what has gone wrong the first two weeks.

"When you got the world against you", safety Landon Collins said, "it's a good feeling to prove to them that we can do it". "Hopefully, we've kind of hit the rough patch and we'll work ourselves out of it". Wentz threw the ball 46 times and the Eagles ran the ball 13 times for a total of 52 yards in the loss to Kansas City. His longest pass so far was 38 yards.

"You can always look back and say, 'Oh I could've maybe moved a little bit here, or I could've gotten through this progression a little bit faster, '" Manning said. "Very physical in the run game and a guy that's got long arms, so once he gets those hands on you, it's all over". Goodson played in 15 games for the Giants as a rookie past year, mostly on special teams. "It's our job to keep him from being a game-changing factor".

Philadelphia has turned out to be a good team.

One option on the table is a new player-caller.

A win over the Giants Sunday and the Eagles would be the team to beat in the division. NY has Beckham, Brandon Marshall, Sterling Shepard and rookie tight end Evan Engram. That's a talented group of receivers who should see plenty of passes coming their way.

The Eagles are going to give Chance Warmack an opportunity to help them out at left guard, where Isaac Seumalo has been a disaster. Following the score, Ertz fumbled near the Giants sideline at the Philadelphia 33. Hart sprained his right ankle in the opener against Dallas.

The Eagles played most of Sunday's game without Cox, Jordan Hicks, Ronald Darby, Rodney McLeod and a handful of other key defensive players, with the first two names acquiring injuries in Week 3 action. Neither team has an obvious No. 1 back. And Elliott, a bright-eyed 22-year-old, delivered.

The Eagles still seemingly needed 25 yards in two plays for a reasonable shot at a game-winning field goal. Numbers that might just come out this Sunday versus NY.

After a scoreless first quarter on both sides, Blount broke the tie on a short touchdown run up the middle.

Eagles: Elliott had plenty of distance on a 52-yard field goal try that sailed wide left in the third quarter.
