A new Samsung smartwatch has been spotted in the FCC database. There are speculations that this one might feature enhanced step-tracking accuracy.

Gear Fit 2 Pro moniker spotted on Samsung's website, Gear Sport gets FCC certified

A different report by SamMobile has spilled the beans about its upcoming wearable device. This comes not long after the same device passed Bluetooth certification, meaning - or at least indicating - that it's right on the verge of being revealed by Samsung in full.

Android Wear's position in the smartwatch market is now at an awkward state, and as a result of this, companies like Samsung and Fitbit have a chance to thrive. It could be a hybrid between Samsung's Gear S3 and Gear Fit 2 that aims to serve the objective of both a smartwatch and fitness band. However, the Sport moniker suggests the device is meant to bridge the gap between a smartwatch and a fitness tracker. While the Gear Fit 2 Pro is believed to be launched sometime around the launch of the Galaxy Note 8, the Gear Sport is likely to be showcased at the IFA 2017 show floor in Berlin.
