Salma Hayek wishes luck to Akshay for 'Toilet Ek Prem Katha'

Exactly six months back on 11th February, Akshay Kumar's Jolly LLB 2 had opened to collections of 13.20 crore at the Box Office. It features the story of Keshav (Akshay Kumar) and his wife Jaya (Bhumi Pednekar), set in two villages near Mathura.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan forms the basic premise of "Toilet: Ek Prem Katha" but Akshay says he did not do the film exclusively on the merit of the script.

Akshay received support for his film from the popular Nickelodeon cartoon Shiva.

A day before the release, red carpet premiere of Akshay Kumar's "Toilet Ek Prem Katha" was held in Mumbai.

Cine buffs have been eagerly waiting for the release of this film and trade experts hoped it would end the dry spell at the Box Office. Women should not be afraid to go to the toilet. Sat and Sun look better.

In a tweet message, Sudarsan has urged State Governments across the country to make the film tax free as it talks about the importance of toilets in homes and eradication of open defecation.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha took a fair start of around 25-30% in the morning shows and showed a decent growth by the end of the day. Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, which has released to around 2900 screens across India, is expected to witness a good jump on the weekend, leading a big success to the makers. The film deals with the need of sanitisation in India and is based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
