New video offers closer look at "copper gold iPhone 8" dummy

The info comes courtesy once again of developer Steve Troughton-Smith and his exploration of the Apple HomePod firmware code, which is proving a veritable treasure trove of hints regarding the iPhone 8.

We knew the iPhone 8 was going to be big, but we may now know exactly how large Apple's next smartphone will be. Most have moved on to these larger phones at this point but some still prefer the old 4-inch form factor, which is why Apple released the iPhone SE past year. Further, Rambo found out that facial recognition system will be accessible by third party apps. The rough feature list has been known for a little while now, and in the past few weeks we've even seen videos with iPhone 8 models appear on YouTube. While these are just mockups of the original device, the iPhone 8 has been tipped to come in these three variants and very likely to sport the exact same design as seen in the video as well. Besides, a hands-on video is also shared showing the device dipped in black.

While Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities recently suggested that the OLED version of the upcoming iPhone will be launched alongside LCD variants, albeit in limited quantities, a new report from The Korea Herald has indicated that the smartphone might now be unveiled around November. A lot more than the other iPhone models.

Someone quickly made a mock-up of what the new iPhone screen could look like in terms of usable space. This can possibly mean that the company can be considering implementation of fingerprint sensor at the back as well. Let's not forget the other great devices expected this fall including the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2, LG V30, and the Nokia 8. Some people might think it's insane to release the "old-looking" iPhone 7S Plus alongside the futuristic iPhone 8, but as Danny points out in his video, there is likely to be a few people who want the classic navigation options and appearance of the iPhone 7S Plus over the iPhone 8 which is a drastic change from the usual iPhone design.
