Mercedes teases new Vision concept auto in short clip

"What would this discovery look like?"

Mercedes has officially teased a new concept vehicle days after a tip off from the firm's design boss Gordon Wagener, who hinted that we'd see a new design concept "pretty soon".

Infiniti hints that the vehicle may feature some measure of electrification, pairing it with the hand-built craftsmanship that exemplified early postwar sports and luxury machines. The lone photo of the Infiniti concept shows a section of what appears to be a silver racing auto (odd, since Japan's national racing color is white), perhaps meant to look like a monoposto GP design or perhaps some sort of early sports-racer. We're tempted to say this prototype is a lock for a spot on the list of "most interesting cars at Monterey Car Week 2017", but when an event showcases and auctions such a magnificent collection of attractive and powerful cars, old and new, there can be no such lock. If the new concept from Mercedes does turn out to be a Vision 6 convertible, expect it to an electric powertrain just like the coupe. Mercedes-Maybach has released this teaser video of the new Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet ahead of its debut. We look forward to bringing you all the latest debut and auction news as the events get underway.
