The leaked image of the phone shows that its front-side looks similar to that of the HTC U11 and HTC 10 of a year ago. The update is supposed to bring a few new features that weren't available in the HTC U11 at launch, such as improved video recording and connectivity features.

HTC's next mid-range smartphone will be called the HTC U11 Life, which was also previously known as the HTC Ocean Life. Furthermore, the smartphone will ship with basically the same 5.2-inch full HD display as HTC 10 and HTC U11. The device still feature thick top and bottom bezels as well as a fingerprint sensor and a capacitive home button. Around a month, the rumor mill had revealed the leaked specifications of the HTC Ocean Life smartphone. Sadly, we don't know what graphics processing unit or how much RAM HTC U11 Life will feature but this information will surely be unveiled during the upcoming future.

The report further reveals that the HTC U11 Lite will offer 32GB of default storage space, which could be expanded with the use of a microSD card. In addition, the rear side will feature a similar sized 16MP camera that's equipped with phase detection and auto-focus. The smartphone was well received in the market, mainly due to the fact that it has some interesting features like the new HTCC Edge sense, which essentially lets you squeeze the phone to make it do things for you.

The pressure-sensitive edges present on HTC U11as Edge Sense will be also be there on HTC U11 Lite. This means that water and dust won't affect it too much. If this is the case, there is a high possibility that the phone will not have a headphone jack and will instead rely on a USB Type C port for charging and audio output.
