HBO social media accounts hacked by OurMine

A hacking group called OurMine claimed to have taken over the account, posting a message reading "we are just testing your security", and asking HBO's team to get in touch. On Monday they leaked some of the unaired material.

Nearly 10 days after the unreleased Episode 4 of Game of Thrones (GoT) Season 7 was leaked, Maharashtra Police on Monday arrested four people who were involved in the dissemination of the material regarding the HBO's marquee show.

"The error appears to have originated with a third party vendor and the episode was removed as soon as it was recognized", a spokesperson told Newsweek.

The network confirmed that they recently experienced a cyber incident, which resulted in the compromise of proprietary information, reports E!

Now, if you've been keeping track, this is the second "Game of Thrones" episode this season to hit the internet before air time.

Game of Thrones continues next Sunday at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO. This episode shown was Season 7, Episode 6.

Though these hackers are yet to be arrested, those behind the leak of the fourth episode titled "The Spoils of War" have been nabbed by the Mumbai Police in India. However, only episodes of other HBO series, including Insecure and Ballers have been illegally shared so far.

This is not the first time that a leak happened for season 7. Specifically, on August 16 they released what they're calling the "4th Wave HBO Leak".

The company also faced embarrassment this week when a GoT episode was leaked in Spain, nearly a week before its scheduled release date.

There's been much speculation about when, exactly, the final season of Game of Thrones starts filming, but we now finally have some crystal clarity.
