'Haseena Parkar': Shraddha Kapoor's gangster drama get postponed again, here's why

The film was earlier expected to be released on July 14, but was postponed as the makers did not want it to clash with Jagga Jasoos, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif.

Shraddha Kapoor has made everyone curious with her performance in the trailer of Haseena Parkar and her fans are eagerly waiting for the movie to be released.

In an interaction with Deccan Chronicle filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia was quoted saying as, "There is no point in trying to get into the current clutter of releases".

Lakhia confirms the development, saying, "We collectively chose to postpone the film so that it can get enough screens and a worthy run at the box-office". Apoorva Lakhia reasoned that there are too many releases during that period. "If we came on August 18 we would have Shah Rukh Khan's Jab Harry Met Sejal and Akshay Kumar's Toilet Ek Prem Katha behind us", Lakhia wrote. Competing with these two films, Jab Harry Met Sejal and Toilet - Ek Prem Katha, is not only tough but nearly impossible, said the source.

And if latest reports are to be believed, the release of Haseena Parkar has been pushed further.

As of now, no specific release date has been announced by the makers.

SRK's Jab Harry Met Sejal will be released on August, 4 and Akshay's Toilet Ek Prem Katha on August, 11.

The new date booked for Haseena Parkar was July 28 but again, it was already a crowded Friday.

Haseena Parkar is a true story based on the life and times of the sister of India's Most Wanted Man - Dawood Ibrahim.

Haseena Parkar stars Shraddha Kapoor and her brother Siddhanth Kapoor.
