Delhi Police arrests suspected Al-Qaeda terrorist Syed Mohammad Zishan Ali

A terrorist linked to the al-Qaeda has been arrested by the Delhi police.

Police said the suspected was trying to escape to Nepal when he caught and arrested in New Delhi by Delhi Police department.

Syed Mohammad Zishan's name was also discussed in the chargesheet filed against the alleged Al- Qaeda in Indian Subcontinent accused persons. Zishan, a resident of Jamshedpur in Jharkhand has several family members who are allegedly connected with terror based outfits.His wife is the sister of Dr. Sabeel Ahmed who gained notoriety after his cousin, Kafeel Ahmed was found be to the mastermind behind the Glasgow worldwide airport attack way back in 2007. He is incidentally married to the sister of Kafeel Ahmed, the engineer from Bengaluru who carried out the Glasgow bombing of 2007.

Zishan's brother Syed Mohammed Arshiyan also allegedly has links with global terror outfits. He is a resident of Jamshedpur in Jharkhand and was operating out of Saudi Arabia, a Delhi police official said. Some young leaders from western Uttar Pradesh already left lndia and joined the cadre in Pakistan.

The police has received intelligence regarding the terrorist.

In December 2015, security agencies had cracked the first module of AQIS in India with the arrest of five.
