The comedian announced his new squad of lawyers on Monday (21Aug17), on the eve of a pretrial hearing in Norristown, Pennsylvania, arranged to allow now ex-Cosby lawyers Brian McMonagle and Angela Agrusa to officially exit his defence team.

Mesereau has also represented actor Robert Blake, boxer Mike Tyson, and rap kingpin Marion "Suge" Knight.
Cosby's second trial on three counts of aggravated indecent assault stemming from an encounter with Andrea Constand at his home outside Philadelphia in 2014, is set to begin November 6.
Mesereau has some familiarity with the Cosby case, having served as one of the go-to lawyers used by television networks in their discussions of the case. Blake, with a new defense lawyer, later was acquitted at his trial.

The famed comedian stood trial in June on three charges of aggravated indecent assault for allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand at his home outside Philadelphia in January 2004.
Cosby has admitted having sexual contact with Constand but claimed the contact was consensual. The two led Cosby's legal team at his June trial, which ended in a mistrial after the jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict.
The jury in the first trial was selected from among Allegheny County residents.
Acting on the motion of defense attorneys, the judge declared a mistrial.
