Coolpad launches 'Note 5 Lite C' at Rs 7777


As of now, the offline availability is only limited to the eight Indian states including Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Delhi NCR, and Haryana.

After launching the "Defiant" budget-oriented smartphone in the U.S. last month, Chinese smartphone company Coolpad on Friday expanded its product portfolio with the launch of its first offline exclusive product, dubbed as "Coolpad Note 5 Lite C" in the Indian tech market. The Note 5 Lite C is priced at Rs. 7,777 and will be available in Grey and Gold color options.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Coolpad Note 5 Lite C flaunts a 5-inch HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 720 × 1280 pixels and a 2.5D curved glass coating on top of the display. It runs Android 7.1 Nougat and is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The internal storage is expandable up to 64GB through a microSD card. The camera options on the Coolpad Note 5 Lite C include an 8-Megapixel primary sensor with LED Flash and F/2.4 and a 5-Megapixel secondary/selfie sensor. In terms of connectivity options, the Note 5 Lite 5 comes includes Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi tether, Bluetooth v4.1, 4G VoLTE connectivity, and Global Positioning System.

Coolpad Note 5 Lite C biggest highlight is that you don't have to wait for the day of sale. The smartphone is available on Amazon from August 20 in open sale. On the rear of the device, we can also spot the circular fingerprint sensor. Earlier to this, the company launched the Coolpad Note 5 and Coolpad Note 5 Lite exclusively through Amazon India.

The Coolpad Note 5 Lite C is also the first phone from the company to come with Android 7.1 Nougat in India. For selfies, there is a 5MP sensor on the front with the same f/2.4 aperture. "Coolpad has become a major brand in India with full coverage from online to offline channels". Further, the smartphone is backed by a 2500mAh battery which company claims can power the phone for 240 hours during standby.

"Keeping the strategy of bringing high specs smartphones at affordable price, we have yet again launched a product that our fans expect", said Coolpad India CEO Syed Tajuddin said in a statement.

The handset measures 142.4x70.4x7.95mm and weigh 139 grams. It also has finger print scanner along with light sensors and proximity sensors.

Apart from the launch of the new phone, the company confirmed that it would release four more offline devices in the future, throughout India.
