Clear the Shelter adoption event set for Saturday

The event is taking place Saturday, Aug. 19 from 9 a.m.to 3 p.m.at the Apache Junction Paws and Claws Care Center located at 725 E. Baseline, Apache Junction, AZ.

"We still want people to go through the same selection process".

We hope to empty our kennels this year.

"Our office mascot is Otis - a shelter dog who has been named our CMO - Chief Motivation Officer!"

Adoption fees will be waived that day for approved adopters with a $50 donation for dogs and $25 for cats to cover spay/neuter costs and vaccinations.

All adopted animals are required to be spayed or neutered. Dogs get micro chipped, which enables them to be found easily if they become lost.

Paws and Claws will offer waived pet adoption fees to help families find and adopt a new pet.
