The Super Saiyan son of Vegeta is seen battling his father and other Dragonball Z characters such as his arch-nemesis Cell and the villainous Frieza in a new gameplay trailer released Sunday.

Dragon Ball FighterZ, one of the top 10 most popular games from this year's E3, made a splash at EVO 2017, the world's largest fighting game competition. That is, of course, if Goku, Gohan, and Majin Buu shown in the character portraits at the end of the trailer are included in the roster. "Arc System Works brings a pedigree and record of quality that fighting game fans can trust; with awesome visuals players might mistake as actual 2D animation from the famed DRAGON BALL series".

Those looking to try out Dragon Ball FighterZ won't have to wait much longer.

But that's not all - a lucky few of you will actually be able to play this game months before it's scheduled to drop early next year.

Elsewhere in the interview, Hiroki explained why there's a "Z" in the game's title.

DRAGON BALL FighterZ gives fans of all skill levels the opportunity to feel like their favorite DRAGON BALL character.

"The fact that somebody would kind of make an assertion that somehow we're not keeping Minecraft players safe, I found - not only from a Microsoft perspective, but from a game industry perspective - like, I don't know why that has to become the dialogue".

The stages will also undergo some changes while the fighters are duking it out.
