Liverpool reportedly close to signing 23-year-old defender

The report states that Leipzig have decided that none of their key players will be sold this summer at any price.

We've brought in Mo Salah and Dom Solanke, but have struggled to get deals for Naby Keita and Virgil van Dijk over the line.

It's also a kit that will thankfully mean Liverpool avoid hodgepodge kit clashes when they hit the road to face sides like Arsenal and Manchester United this season-no more white shirts with red trousers and black socks, as this top to bottom orange number will do the trick.

Van Dijk would undoubtedly address that and help fix the issue, and if he is adamant about a move to Liverpool this summer, then it's hard not to see it eventually happen.

Crystal Palace target Mamadou Sakho has been left out of Liverpool's 25-man squad for their pre-season tour to Hong Kong.

"They say "go for another vehicle in another colour" but you say "that's ok but I want this".

"Klopp continued with the auto analogy: "You see the vehicle you've been dreaming of all your life, you say "Here's the money", but they tell you "I do not want to sell the auto.'" You say 'But I have the money!', But they say 'I do not want to sell".

"I'm a football manager, I'm interested in the game, I'm interested in the quality of the game and different things have influence on the quality. It is not about this".

Jurgen Klopp looked to have missed out on Van Dijk as the Saints reported the Merseyside outfit for tapping up the 26-year-old centre-back - forcing an apology from the Reds.

For Liverpool fans now, it's a waiting game... Here's how Twitter reacted to the unveiling.
