Doctors say House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (skuh-LEES') has a good possibility of recovery after he was at "imminent risk of death" from a gunshot wound to the hip two days ago.

His doctors cautioned, however, that he remained in critical condition and would "be in the hospital for some time". Reporters in Washington tracked Scalise's every hospital update and shared it on social media.

One of the Capitol Police officers, David Bailey, who was hailed as a hero for the way he helped to subdue the gunman, appeared on crutches.

Hodgkinson - an IL home inspector who had been living out of his van near the park - had a social media page filled with criticism of Republicans and the Trump administration.

Sava said Friday that there are hundreds of bullet fragments in Scalise's body, but "we have no intention to try and remove all the bullet fragments at this point". He said he hoped the game would help heal emotional wounds.
