Saturday's mouth-watering India versus Pakistan Hero Hockey World League Semi-Final match turned out to be a one-sided affair at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis centre here.

India have already beaten Canada 3-0 in the tournament and they will eye yet another good performance tomorrow.

After the win, India will now play the 5-6 position match in which they face Canada who earlier beat China 7-3.

Ramandeep Singh and Mandeep Singh struck a brace each while Harmanpreet sounded the board in the third quarter in India's comprehensive victory in the match.

India many chances, including a last moment penalty corner, to beat Pakistan by a bigger margin but they failed to convert them and had to settle for a 6-1 win.

The first quarter was completely dominated by the Indian side which restricted the opponents in their respective half.

India took their lead to a convincing 4-0 in the second quarter.

But Akashdeep could not make a powerful connection to put the ball past Pakistan goalkeeper Amjad Ali. The ball hit the crossbar before crossing the line.

SV Sunil and Ramandeep combined once again to score India's fourth goal. With less than six minutes for the final hooter, Talwinder Singh swiftly dribbling into the striking circle did well to find his man Ramandeep on the far post who made a rapid attempt on goal. He deflected the ball in. Had Akashdeep Singh not missed a sitter in the 10th, India would have been two-nil in the first quarter. Harmanpreet Singh finally found the target from a direct penalty corner conversion and a defensive error by Satbir Singh enabled Ajaz Ahmed to pull one back for Pakistan.
