OnePlus has a new beta version of Oxygen OS lined up for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T in the forums. One of the most significant changes would be the OnePlus's Ambient Display implementation. Up until now, you had to tap the display once while Ambient Display is on in order to activate it, well, that's no longer the case, two taps are required in Ambient Display 2.0.
Thanks to the new update, users will have to tap twice so that the screen doesn't get unlocked unintentionally. Besides this, there is a new feature called "Lift up display", which will turn on the screen when a user lifts up the phone.More news: Tulsa police chief: Protests to remain peaceful

Among other new features is a sharing functionality for Shot on OnePlus as well as new OnePlus Font, which is now available in English, Chinese, and Japanese only. With it, however, also comes a built-in system font switcher, which should be a welcome addition to users addicted to customizing their devices.
As far as general improvements are concerned, third-party apps are now supposed to launch quicker than before, while the company also optimized management of foreground and background processes, which is always a welcomed addition to any update. And last but not least, security-conscious users will be happy to know OnePlus has finally included the latest, May 1st security patches for Android (though the June patches should be released pretty soon). Well, better late than never. So if you haven't received the update notification already, you may need to wait a bit or you can try checking manually in Settings " About " Software update.
