Matthew Perry has recurring nightmare about failed Friends reboot

So if anybody asks me, I'm gonna say no.

At this point, Matthew Perry has accepted that he'll always be known, primarily, as Chandler Bing-or, perhaps in some circles, as Miss Chanandler Bong.

A "Friends" revival may be a dream for the show's biggest fans, but it appears to be a nightmare for at least one of its stars. It also turns out The Rembrandts lied, and it's proven to be a fruitless endeavor to try to get all six core cast members-Perry, Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt Leblanc, and David Schwimmer-in the same room. If there's an old TV show that even has a sliver of a story left to tell, someone somewhere will revive it. We can't beat it.

"We were jokingly saying that if "Friends" was created today, you would have a coffee shop full of people that were just staring into iPhones", Aniston, who played Rachel Green on the series, said during the inaugural episode of Arianna Huffington's new Thrive Global Podcast just last month. "No one's going to write a part for me like this one. People still see me as Chandler, the goofy, sarcastic guy, and this is not that", he explained. It's not just that Perry's moved on to other projects, most recently The Kennedys: Decline And Fall and the now-defunct Odd Couple remake.

"I'm not kidding about this", he said in an interview about his upcoming play, The End of Longing.

Perry echoed that sentiment and said if anyone asks him he will say no. "What I see is serious stuff that, as a bonus, happens to be amusing".

"So I did that, and I think probably the next thing I do will be written by me, too".
