Free PlayStation Plus games for June 2017

It's slightly surprising that the different color option wouldn't be available for the PS4 Pro, but then again this could be Sony taking an iPhone 5C approach with its consoles - affordable and colorful options for those that don't aren't interested in the top-of-the-line gear.

Sony has not yet officially announced the model, but a picture of it was leaked by Reddit user Sliye, who works at USA retailer Target.

A Dual Shock 4 Gold controller was just listed by Best Buy for a price of $64.99 (with free shipping).

Sony is apparently gearing up to launch a gold variant of its PS4 Slim. The images showing the console appear to be real, with the Target employee who snapped them claiming that the console will go on sale on June 9, so you don't have long to wait if you particularly want a gaudy looking PS4.

Intriguingly, if these rumoured dates are correct, this new PS4 will release before Sony give their E3 2017 press conference, and that could tell us a lot about what we might see on the day.

In less than two weeks' time, Sony will offer a peek at what's on the horizon for PS4 owners with its PlayStation E3 Media Showcase. That means, if you want to watch it in the United Kingdom, you'll have to be awake for a large part of the night as it'll start at 2am BST Tuesday 13 June thanks to the time zones.
