Could Louis Riddick be the Chiefs next general manager?

With Dorsey out, the first known candidate the Chiefs are looking to fill the vacancy is ESPN NFL analyst Louis Riddick, according to NFL Media analyst Ian Rapoport.

However, not long after the report, Riddick refuted it. "Source? Me", Riddick said on Twitter Sunday.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported in March that NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock was a candidate for the Redskins general manager position. Has Hunt simply not contacted Riddick yet? If the Chiefs are interested, it makes more sense than you might think, since Riddick is hardly just a talking head who happens to be good at his job.

Kansas City has reportedly reached out to the ESPN analyst.

Riddick spent several years working alongside Andy Reid in the Philadelphia Eagles front office and has well over a decade of executive experience in the National Football League with both Philly and Washington.

Rapoport tweets the Chiefs hope to set up an interview in the coming week for Riddick.

Kansas City expects to interview several in-house candidates for their general manager position, including co-directors of player personnel Brett Veach & Mike Borgonzi.
