After much speculation and confirmation from various mystery sources and insiders, Beyonce's dad, Mathew Knowles, has taken to social media to confirm that his famous daughter has given birth to twins with her husband Jay Z.

According to Mail Online Tina, 63, also praised Beyonce who has a five year-old daughter Blue Ivy, for being an 'incredible parent'. On Friday, a woman was spotted at a Los Angeles hospital carrying purple, pink and blue flowers including two massive foot-shaped blue and pink balloons.

Beyoncé and Jay Z welcomed their bundles of joy into the world almost one week ago, but a bump in the road has prevented the new mom from bringing her babies home.

They shared the news of Beyoncé's pregnancy back in February by sharing a stunning maternity snap with her 103 million Instagram followers.

Later Obama sent Jay Z a video message - in which he may have let slip the twins' gender.

Phillip Prodger, head of photographs at the National Portrait Gallery, told TIME the photos blended references and depicted the expecting mother as a Renaissance Madonna.

The gathering was African-themed and all of her closest friends, including Kelly Rowland, and family went along to celebrate her pregnancy for one last time. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by 2, and we thank you for your well wishes. She is covered with a long green veil in the heavily stylised photo. The news was confirmed by Parkwood Entertainment and festival producer Goldenvoice in a joint statement that said Beyonce is "following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months".

Some fans believe that the first reveal of the twins is going to happen on Beyonce's Instagram page.
