Are you on Twitter, NBC journalist asks Modi

The awkward exchange took place before Ms Kelly recorded the meeting for her show at the Konstantin Palace.

"People comment on @priyankachopra dress when she meets PM, but no one comments on Megyn Kelly's dress when she meets PM #doublestandards", tweeted another user. At $20 a month, it's a steal if you ask us!

However, people on social media were not that forgiving as they slammed the journalist for her lack of knowledge.

The Russian president has committed to an interview with her on Friday, when Kelly will be in St. Petersburg to moderate a panel at an global economic forum. Especially given the fact that they snagged Russian President Vladimir Putin for Kelly's debut. Putin is dismissing as "a load of nonsense" the idea that Russian Federation has damaging information on President Donald Trump and denies having any relationship with him, said Putin in an interview with NBC's "Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly".

Kelly's apparent ignorance of Modi's Twitter account sparked mockery from the Indian prime minister's online fans and others. The most followed leader on Twitter is US President Donald Trump.

But, not missing a beat, Kelly praised Winfrey, "I love Oprah, so I'm in favor of anything she does", Kelly told the Los Angeles Times.

Hoda Kotb, Savannah Guthrie and Matt Lauer were doing the intro for Kelly's segment, but Kelly only greeted Guthrie and Lauer. However, Kelly returned the greeting, but only mentioning the names of Lauer and Guthrie.

This leaves the NBC anchor visibly surprised as she reacts in utter disbelief. There can even be hackers, by the way, in the United States who very skillfully and professionally shifted the blame, as we say, onto Russian Federation. "Great to have you hear, Megyn!". Kotb was not upset though, she even managed to make light of the mistake by jokingly throwing her hands up and acted to be in disbelief.

But for many, the big story is what the former Fox News host was wearing. A question like that obviously proves that she had not done her homework. The second part, and financially the most important, is her 9 a.m. weekday talk show that starts in the fall.
