Apple WWDC 2017: Big Announcements On New Features And Upgrades

Apple Pay will allow you to pay people, and this will be one of the updates in the Messages app - you'll be able to pay people directly from there. Apple has redesigned the experience so that all developers can spotlight their apps with more engaging content, putting the most important information front and center for the customer making a download decision. It will feature recommendations of new releases and updates, compelling videos, top charts just for games and hand-picked collections.

Files, on the other hand, allows users to access the actual location of the documents, files, photos and videos that have been downloaded onto the device.

WatchOS 4 will also bring updates to the watch's fitness tracking, including a new user interface for the workout app and new integrations with gym equipment manufacturers.

The new 10.5-inch iPad Pro is available in two variants - Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi+ Cellular (single nano-SIM) priced at $649 and $779 for 64GB storage in U.S. respectively.

Starting with the Today tab, it will provide a daily dose of in-depth features and interviews filled with artwork and videos.

And, in a move that's either useful, concerning or both, Siri will now monitor what you do across your iPhone or iPad, so it can see - for example - what type of articles you read and make recommendations.

The revamped App Store will be included with iOS 11, which is scheduled to be made available this fall, most probably with the launch of next-generation of iPhones.

Apple has also implemented changes to its portrait mode, including better low light photography through its dual cameras.

Create a lovely long exposure effect that is usually possible only with DSLR cameras.

Apple has introduced a new 10.5-inch iPad Pro and a new 12.9-inch iPad Pro, featuring displays with ProMotion technology and the new A10X Fusion chip.

The camera will have improved image quality, and Apple has added a new technology called High Efficiency Image File Format (HEIF), which reduces the file size of iPhone 7 or 7 Plus photos.

Also there is now a long-exposure effect for Live Photos to capture dreamy images in-motion.

More apps can be placed on the dock, similar to macOS.

Also, the user's recently used apps will appear on the right hand side of the dock for better access without having to locate them manually.

The new Control Centre now occupies a full page, instead of just hovering over the device's home screen. The app, which can tie into other cloud services, keeps everything in one place, whether files are stored locally, in iCloud Drive or across other providers like Dropbox, Box, or Google Drive.

Texting or using the phone while driving might not be the smartest thing to do especially with such a high chance of getting into an accident on the road. That could include a reminder to make a call or a flight reservation.

Once the feature is turned on, your iPhone can tell when you may be driving and automatically mute your notifications so your screen remains dark. You can also opt to have an automatic reply sent to Favorite contacts, should they try and get in touch.
