Transfer fee agreed, Arsenal to sign 25 goals 14 assists forward


Arsenal have agreed a fee to sign Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru, according to widespread reports.

The 19-year-old was the Belgian Jupiler League's joint top-scorer this season, with 22 goals for Eupen, although the club ended the campaign in 13th spot out of 16 teams.

Eupen have bids from Anderlecht and Club Brugge while the exhaustive list of clubs to have made other offers includes Arsenal, Red Bull Leipzig, Schalke, Borussia Dortmund, Monchengladbach, Lyon, Lille, Monaco, Nice, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Fiorentina and Roma.

Onyekuru, who has previously been linked with the likes of Everton, Southampton and West Bromwich Albion, has managed 31 goals in 60 appearances for his Belgian outfit.

The Premier League interest in the red-hot striker could bring to an end Celtic's hopes of snapping him up.

Belgian giants Anderlecht and Club Brugge have also indicated interested but the Nigerian striker has insisted he wants to play in England.

It looks as though a deal is now on the verge of completion as The Sun are citing a report from Soccer Nigeria that claims Arsenal have now agreed terms to sign the exciting forward this summer.
