Stefan Struve vs. Alexander Volkov to headline UFC's return to Netherlands

-Stefan Struve recently spoke at a UFC Fight Night Q&A session before UFC Fight Night 109 (via mmajunkie.com), and he discussed UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic. The event will take place at the Rotterdam Ahoy.

The heavyweight main event will mark the first time Struve is headlining a UFC event since he defeated Stipe Miocic via TKO at UFC on Fuel TV 5 in 2012.

Famed for his seven-foot frame, "Skyscraper" Struve is a veteran of the UFC, having made his debut back in 2009.

Struve is now on a 2 fight win streak with a D'Arce Choke win over Daniel Omielanczuk back at UFC 204.

Two of the biggest fighters (literally) the UFC has to offer will square off in the main even at UFC Fight Night in Rotterdam, the promotion announced Friday.

Volkov is on a 4 fight win streak with his last 2 wins coming from decisions against now Bellator fighter Roy Nelson and Timothy Johnson. The Russian heavyweight will look to defend his 100% win record that he has established since signing for the promotion past year. In fact, his most recent win is over another former heavyweight champion, Junior dos Santos, whom he defeated in only one round. After catapulting his way into the division's top 10 rankings, Volkov will undoubtedly be looking to cause an upset for home favourite Struve on September 2. All bouts live and subject to change.
