The video is part of the "Cat Mario" series and refers to "Nyandies" ahead of this weekend's BitSummit indie game festival in Japan.

Finally, some polls on what we saw in the ARMS Direct; tell us what you thought in these and the comments below! Unlike traditional fighting games, there isn't going to be much kicking involved in this one.

Sadly, the limited edition bundle will come with the standard neon red and neon blue Joy-Cons rather than the newly-announced neon green and neon pink controllers, which were also unveiled for the first time last night, but fans will be able to buy the green and pink combo separately if they wish.

Nintendo can't be accused of not pushing the message that ARMS can be the next big thing.

The Direct revealed the rest of the 10 character roster. You can equip a fire arm on the left and an electric arm on the right to deal two different types of damage. ARMS is a kind of game where you have to use punches, throws, and blocks to knock out your contender. The game also took a star spot in the initial Nintendo Switch announcement trailer, so clearly the platform holder has high hopes for the game. The basic Fight mode lets you fight against one player, with bombs or healing items dropping on the arena.

During Nintendo's "ARMS" focused Direct presentation, they revealed a brand new trailer, which can be viewed down below, of the upcoming shooter. Your attacks can damage your ally, so you need to coordinate well here. We'll be reporting on all the news from the press events that week, as well as bringing you previews from the show floor.

If fighting isn't what you really want to do, then there are modes such as V-Ball (where you play volleyball with an explosive ball), Hoops (try dunking your opponents into a basketball hoop), and Skill Shot (wreck as many targets as possible). Then there's a Party Match where you can have two players per Nintendo Switch joining online battles. Ranked matches will be available as well as an offline Grand Prix that resembles a single player campaign of 10 matches.
