Kell Brook: 'I relish Errol Spence Jr challenge'

Kell Brook has predicted that there is going to be "drama" in his showdown with Errol Spence Jr for the IBF welterweight title.

Brook defends his IBF title against the unbeaten American at Bramall Lane in his hometown of Sheffield this weekend.

"He's a very good fighter, Errol Spence, and I think our styles are gonna jell", Brook said.

"I've thought about it quite a lot and what it's going to be like". This fight's just gonna be a thriller, fireworks from round one. He won't a backwards step, and I won't.

Unlike Brook, Spence didn't concede that they both might taste the canvas in this 12-round bout. "I have the skills and ability to beat Kell Brook". He has power and he has size, and I have the same, too.

"I've been coming down here since I was seven".

"Maybe that was the problem for a little while - that I thought I should be a world champion and I wasn't", he said. "So of course there's gonna be drama".

David "White Rhino" Allen (11-2-1, 8 KOs) takes on Lenroy "TNT" Thomas (20-4, 10 KOs) for the vacant Commonwealth Championship, followed by the professional debut of 2012 British Olympian Anthony Fowler versus Arturs Geikins (3-7-1, 2 KOs) in a four-round middleweight match.

"I want it with all my heart", Kell Brook said. "Every time I come here those memories always come back".

But the IIBF, whose belt he defends against rising U.S. star Errol Spence Jr, will apply that additional 10 lbs stricture before the boxers enter the ring at Sheffield United's football Stadium. My uncle Johnny told me that I would defend my world title here one day.

"He's the challenger and I want to keep it in the Steel City so we're going to get a thrilling fight".
